This autumn we launched our new wine list. It’s an exclusive collection of wines that reflect our personal tastes but also gives us a range of broadly palatable flavours that we can use to pair with our chalet menus. We have gone to great lengths to choose our wines and we source many of them directly from producers. Our range includes recently discovered but now well known labels such as Chateau Bauduc, Domaine de Mourchon and Chateau Pesquié; it also includes producers who are completely unknown outside of France like Christope Camu from Chablis and Michel Colbois from Chitry.
This month we decided to host a couple of wine tasting events to showcase our new range and gather feedback from the people who matter most: our clients. So we held two invite-only events in Cardiff and London and tried out ten of our new wines on around fifty guests. The response was superb and all our wines went down extremely well; the star performers were, without doubt, our Fleurie and our Petit Chablis.
